Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

When you submit your contact information through a “talk with a local installer” form on TapCheck CA, we may sell or share it with paid local water-treatment installers and plumbers so they can contact you. You have the right to opt out of that sale or sharing at any time.
How to opt out
Email us with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share request.” Include the name and email you used on our form, and your ZIP code, so we can find your record. You can also include the phone number you used. The button below opens a pre-filled email.
Or write to leads@cawatercheck.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share request.” We do not require an account, and opt-out requests do not need identity verification.
What happens next
- We process your request within 15 business days of receiving it.
- After that, your personal information is excluded from any sale or sharing. If we sold or shared it between your request and when we processed it, we will tell those recipients about your opt-out.
- Opting out does not affect your use of TapCheck CA reports, and we will not treat you differently for opting out.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. Any installer request you submit from it is marked as opted out.
Authorized agents
Someone you authorize can submit this request for you by email, with your signed written permission.
